Emily Oman has been a touring singer/songwriter, a Cannes Film Festival short-film contender, a rock climbing instructor, and a Christmas tree salesperson. She’s hiked the Andes in Peru with a pack of stray dogs, learned to yo-yo in Austria with a Saudi Prince, and played Duck, Duck, Goose in Guatemala with several humans and a remarkably patient donkey.
These forays shape her storytelling, blending curiosity, mischief, and the wide-eyed wonder of a world that offers adventure to anyone willing to take a first step. When she isn’t writing children’s books, screenplays, or songs, Emily is probably barefoot in the wilderness, chatting with the trees. She lives in Los Angeles with her wife and their two dogs.
